Ffs I get stuck on a rock thats just the size of a pebble...
And falling threw the ground when riding bikes...
Whats the point in saying no cars, when you can freely not use a car? A game giving the player option on what they can do will bring in more players than a game that restricts too much. And im not saying to add overly ridiculous amounts of vehicles, but in most post apocalyptic, wouldnt people find ways for transportation?
The devs them selves said in the future date, so hopefully by then the game will be more polished :D Hopefully they keep the bike physics, its funny to fly off
However, personally I'd really like to see a bigger range of vehicles with the same role as the bicycle - allowing the player to travel around previously-explored areas more quickly than walking and without the disadvantages of fast travel (immersion-breaking and causes enemies to respawn) - but in a more functional way. (faster, better on rough terrain, able to carry things, etc.)
Simply making the existing civilian cars/trucks drivable probably wouldn't really work as realistically most wouldn't be much good off-road and there are so many wrecks and barriers blocking the roads. However, motorbikes, quads, ATVs or jeep/Land Rover type 4x4s would be good.
What I'd most like to see is the ability to upgrade vehicles with add-ons - maybe crafted from parts salvaged from robots and wrecked vehicles - giving them more functionality, obviously things like armour plate, weapons, vision modules but also add-ons like storage boxes, field radios, medical stations etc. could make them more useful in a multiplayer co-op context. Defensive add-ons like camouflage or sensor jammers could make the vehicle a bit less of a magnet for robot attacks. This way you could give players lots of choice without having to add a huge range of drivable vehicle models - similarly to how the existing gun add-on system works, the same basic chassis could be configured for different roles or simply upgraded with higher quality components.
