Rivals

Hello. Can you please explain how rivals really work?
All i know is that if i kill so many robots, a rival is spawned
Or if a robot keeps killing me, that robot becomes a rival.

But i want to ask you some questions:
1.How many rivals can be at the same time in a region?
2.What is the max level they can get?
3.They gain xp and level up if i kill other robots(non rivals)?
4.The higher the level they are, that means they will drop better loot?
5.If i kill a rival, why does the region score decrease(and can i make it stop decreasing)?
6.I think it is recommended to kill them when they are maxed out right?

I think thats all but if you know other things you can tell me, please do it.

Hello.

1. Max 8 rivals per region
2. Max level for any rival is 4.
3. Correct
4. Higher lvl=usually better loot (your character need to be min level 25 for experimental weapon drops)
5. Dont think you can stop xp from decreasing. My guess is that the reduced xp points keep the game balanced and the drop rate more challenging.
6. Here are some options: f you want best possible loot, you wait til they level up to 4.
If you want to meet the reaper , the region level need to be at least 21. And you need to keep a rival slot open for the reaper to spawn (remember max 8 per region) If a "regular" rival spawns and steal the reapers slot just eliminate the weakest one..gl

But at answer 5, what do you mean it keeps the bame balanced?I mean balanced in what?

All that and Once a rival spawns in a region move to a different region for a few hours to 4 hours. Or you can keep working the same region and the rivals that belong to that region, that are still roaming their origin region, will level up till the 2 hour reset time then, if the region level is high enough, you will have another rival spawn.

Before killing any rivals, make sure the rival is from the region you need to destroy. They will roam to other regions and you lose points from their region of origin. When you are at 7 rivals in a region..that number 8 rival will either be a reaper or the weakest rival..maybe.

It is also good practice to save your game when you are farming rivals, something goes wrong and you lose the game file you can always load your saved game. And by save, I mean save the file in another directory than the game is saved in.

When the reapers first popping up I saved each reaper game before I attacked them. So now I can go back and play that reaper game again. So I have a whole folder of saved games.
