Multiplayer XP
Me and a friend started the game due to the free weekened. we've played quiet a bit and have found that the host gets alot more xp for some reason. im sitting at 14.5k xp but my friend is at 21k which really sucks since i was the guy who was suppose to get lockpicking in the next two levels but cant level up at all. is there some kind of bug im not aware of?

you probably did not get a mission reward that you fully participated in it. I myself struggle with constantly not getting missions or rewards, despite literally only playing with one person all the time. we constantly have to switch hosts.

I read a different topic where people claim XP is only for Host for quests and collectibles, is that still true?

Did not know this, that sucks since we are all doing the same thing in the same game ugh, why do this not see simple fixes like this (why did they decide to make it like this in the first place)?!

Nah, pretty sure it's not true, I still have a small lead on xp on the person that hosts all my games, the only xp I lacked were for missions that did not complete for me.
Here's a tip, the host should absolutely never pick up missions or mission items, let the guest do it. The host will always get the item, the guest however, will often not get them unless they pick it up themselves (if they can).

has it been fixed?
reports that players are not getting xp/progress in multiplayer is holding back me and my friends from having a try at this game.

XP sharing will always be uneven either slightly or to a huge degree. Next is looting. When a loot is not inside a container it will be gone the moment the host takes it. Maybe allowing the guests to take any loot first, will work. Next is collectible. I have seen posts saying, the host can collect any collectibles but some of the collectibles could not be taken by guests. Challenges are sometimes affected, too.

Anyone who wants to wait for all these things to get fixed before buying the game, will probably need to wait forever.

All these things will never be fixed thoroughly. Every update and/or new DLC's brings in fixes but also introduces new ones that could impact multiplayer and solo play.

The game is good enough and price wise, it is very good enough.

The devs can't even fix to have its saving mechanics to rotate on several files, instead of just one file (which when corrupted you'd lose all of your hundreds of hours of progress in an instant), considering there are free third-party applications available to do that, how can they thoroughly fix issues that are complicated and affected by so many variable. many of them they don't even have full control,
