Engineer specialization is useless.
I got the spec first, and this whole time, I have never once found a single drone pod. I went to test this and started intentionally seeking out hunters and tanks that use them, and still, nothing. nothing at all.

I don't know what the deal is, but Engineer seem useless to me. I can't tell if the game patched out Tick Pods for some reason or if this is a game bug, but its getting rather frustrating and it needs to be fixed. Or maybe I'm just unlucky... But after several hours of going out of my way to locate Tick Pods, I am having a hard time believing that this is on my end.

Maybe it's like crafting and the engineer specialization only works 1%.

Its kinda stupid. Its such a cool idea for a spec... If it WORKED...

To get tick pods you can't destroy the tick generator thing on their backs. If that is still there when the robot is killed you have a chance at getting tick pods.
Yesterday I killed maybe 15 robots with tick generators on their back and only got 2 tick pods.

Same with hacker. I got hacker thinking it would be good only to find out it's terrible.
There is a mod to let you spawn other robots instead of ticks with the tick pod.

Do the ticks actually do anything useful in combat?

I know I've found that the %'s for a hack being successful (even on the basic robots) is too low to be worthwhile remembering about.

Game issue that takes mods to fix. It would be worth getting the devs to look at it, but I'm growing concerned that they may not be intrested in balancing it. From what I am reading the game use to have a good Tick Pod drop rate then a patch came out that nerfed into uselessness. At least that's what some people are posting here and there online.

I'm not sure. I haven't used them as I only got the specialization after I saw the mod for spawning other robots with tick pods.
Yup it's way too low and the cool down is too long.

I wouldn't count on the devs fixing things like this. Luckily there are lots of great modders that make cool things to improve the game.

Kind of off topic but there is also a mod to reset your skills which is something the devs should have added months ago. Skill reset(respec) would only take 15 minutes at most to code. It seems like there is only 1 person on their dev team that codes because of how small the updates are and how long it takes them to fix bugs and release updates.

Your aid has been appreciated. This information will be very useful. I will no longer be oppressed by the crushing weight of "Hacking" and all the woes that it brings.

Just think. Have you ever wanted to force an entire continent of angry murder happy robots to know exactly where you are for no reason other than you had the absolute gall to look at them with binoculars? Do you want force powers that do nothing more than tickle a robot's dangly bits and make them angry? Do you want a skill only works almost none of the time? Try Remote Hacking!

Remote hacking is our solution to all your woes! We thought Remote Hacking would be an amazing way to make your life miserable and only for the low low cost of your sanity!

XD that is probably what the devs were thinking. Like the skill sounds great then when you unlock it you realize you wasted a lot of time and skill points. I was really annoyed when I got it. I was so hyped to use it when was like "wait this is it? this is terrible wtf"
