Lost connection to Steam servers.

What the hell is even this?! I just lost 2 hours of progress, becuase my game crashed after getting the 'Lost connection to Steam servers'. WHAT IN THE WORLD.

If that is a very common thing for ya, i would recommend trying to launch the game in steam offline mode, you do loose out on possiblity for co.op though

I've gotten disconnected, game has crashed, and never so far lost any progress, not even a minute. All stuff i've looted, all ammo i wasted has been there, not sure if your autosave doesn't work or what it is but that has never happened to me nor any of my friends so far and we're all 6 on different computers and setups obviously.

I'd really want to know what's different between mine and yours in this case since i've tried to replicate this.

Can anyone explain the reason behind this? Is it due to the Summer event? These crashes have been more common, this is the first time I am encountering this since I played the game a few months back. My internet seems to be fine, so it's very, very odd for Steam to lose connection like this.

Had one of those crashes last night. Luckily, they're quite rare for me.
