Some places where you do get stuck you can try and get unstuck sometimes it works, and sometimes you can't get out. It happened to me too in the back of a lorry over a box I had jump all of the place.
If you do get stuck however, you can just fast travel to a safe house it is annoying to travel back to the place or whatever...
Idea is to place an explosive at your feet and dedontate it (drop a granade, place fuel cell/gas can/land mine and shoot it or aim and shoot m/49 at your feet). Following explosion is usually enough for you to ragdoll out of any glitched map section where you got stuck.
I've used the above trick sometimes. Though, i've learned which places can get me stuck and i know to avoid those.
I sometimes get stuck on the corners upstairs in houses, e.g. the starting house. Clip the corner heading to the stairs, and I'm glued! I've taken shelter under a plane and got stuck too, it's frustrating. Let's hope the physics models or collision hulls get a little love.
Edit: I wish steam would show replies to topics in a more consistent fashion. Couldn't see any of the above when I wrote this.
It was either i opened topic with 0 replies but once refreshed the page, replies appeared
OR
I opened topic and replies were there, but as soon as i refreshed the topic, all replies dissapeared and stayed so, until i closed the topic window and reopened it.
I guess it was a Steam bug since now it seems to be fixed.
It is pretty simple. As long as you are not in combat you can just fast travel to the nearest ( or any ) safe house. Costs nothing except the time spent running back. Keep in mind you cannot fast travel if you are over-weight.
