Yep just came here to say this. It used to need GE-Proton but now works great on both Proton Experimental and 9.0 beta. I wonder how to alert Valve to change the rating...

It's nice to know that the delay issues have been fixed, though as the person above me said, music doesn't loop.
Attempted to use Proton GE to see if it fixes that, but that permanently reintroduced the delay issue until I wiped the prefix.

oh hey fluffyChocolate, I actually managed to fix this a while ago!
I had to use a previous version of Proton! I actually forgot which one specifically, but if you need me to i'd be willing to dig out my steam deck and check.

We went through this in DMs and it didn't work for me, but if anyone still wants to try, their solution seemed to be GE-Proton 9-7.

Pleased to confirm it finally works for me after reinstalling and running the game with GE-Proton 9-7; the audio loops now. Cheers.

Checked James's comment for the version Ge-Proton 9-7 for looping audio and yes confirmed the audio does indeed now loop. Game should be fully playable now ??:steamhappy:

The fix guys; although it never seemed to work for fluffyChocolate, so YMMV

I have audio but it doesn't loop neither in shop nor in map area... I have GOG version 1.108, dunno if anyone had similar issues...

Mine either doesn’t start at all or plays with the audio delay on Proton-GE versions (I tried -2, -15, -20, and -7), depending on fresh install, desktop mode handholding, etc.

On default, experimental, and hotfix it starts perfectly and has no audio delay, but doesn’t loop music.

I haven’t found a proton yet that works for both aspects.

Steam OS 3.6.20
Stable Build Proton 9-4
  • Audio Doesn't loop.
  • With GE-Proton doesn't launch.
  • Going back from GE to Stable disables all audio; Verifying doesn't resolve it but Re-installing game fixes it.
