In order to get GRID (2019) to run and not crash with the DX12 error, the intro videos need to be disabled. To do this access the GRID (2019) folder on the drive where it is installed. For some reason Codemasters thinks that "Effects Volume" also encapsulates the car and the environment sounds, and so it's impossible to get rid of the annoying sound effects that plays every time you selected something, without the car and environment sound not being affected.
