Looks promising, but wait, didn´t Jurassic world look promising, too in the past and failed?
I´ll wait for the first discussions after release...

@Kenneth people who are dedicated to the game and want to play it before anyone else
Before anyone else? There's thousands of other people. There is nothing exclusive or closed about it. You just paid more money to play an unfinished game earlier than the people who get into a finished game for less.
I mean that's what a beta is. It isn't anything exclusive or closed but for people who are genuinely excited about this game can play it sooner isn't anything bad. Plus it being a beta access means players can notify the developers about glitches and bugs they can fix before it makes into the full game.
Is it worth the money? That's something for others to decide for themselves but in my opinion paying 10 extra dollars isn't that bad.

A beta used to be an open thing, to test a game on a huge amount of computers to quickly find issues before a release. Now its just become another pre order bonus and marketing scheme. I can definitely understand it. Frontiers primary focus is to make a lot of money, just like any other company.

Did you play Planet Coaster? Fantastic game. I expect this game to be a rebooted Zoo Tycoon 2. Planet Coaster was a rebooted Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. I'm very excited.

I think its just become such a norm that betas are becoming exclusive offers. Personally I'm more worried if it's just marketing and nothing else. After what fallout 76 did with its beta access I've learned that I shouldn't hold my breath for them. But what from I've seen from frontier, i'm not worried, its clear that the people who are making this game are genuinely passionate about the project. Even if the beta doesn't hold up, lets hope the final product will.
Spoiler Alert: Lots of DLC incoming :D And another spoiler: not more than 9 terrain brushes per park. Otherwise this looks so great (but I'm really disappointed, that there's no Planet Coaster Crossover like in RCT3)
i cant wait <3
YAY! Komodo dragons are finally coming out plus, there coming out exactly like i dreamed! but the only thing I wish for is the komodo dragon, crocidile, and elepehant to actually swim under water. !!!UnderWater!!! Not above but under!!!

TLDR: It's your choice as a consumer, don't go complaining with the devs if you want to have your cake and eat it too.

You are thinking of an open beta which is a specific type of beta testing. Beta tests don't have to be open to be beta tests. Back in the day when you bought an actual copy of the game beta tests wouldn't be open to everyone; instead, developers would select a group of people to play their game so they could find any glitches and bugs they might have missed themselves.

There's no rules that determine how this group of people should be selected (completely open or hand-picked) so personally I feel paying for this privilege is quite fair. Those who care about playing it as soon as possible can pay for that privilege, those who just want to play it can wait for full release. Additionally, this way it is open to anyone, rather than to a select few reporters or friends of developers. Anyone can take part in the beta, while the developer gets some extra money from those who want to take part.

Well, of course, I played both and enjoyed Planet Coaster a lot - and that´s the reason why I was so disappointed when I played Jurassic World (had preordered Deluxe, played the betas and the release and refunded). Planet Coaster was so much better and made with so much more love compared to JW
