Stuck on the loading screen
I have two franchise zoo's. One opens up fine but the other does not. My game never crashes but stays on the loading screen. The screen doesn't freeze because the animal at the bottom continues walking and the tips are still showing up as well. Does anyone know what this means? I never had an issue loading the zoo before. I haven't added anything new. In fact, the last time I was in the zoo I actually deleted two enclosures and transferred those animals into my other franchise.. I hope there is an easy fix to this. It was my first zoo and has most of my animals.. I would hate to lose the save..

As a zoo gets larger it can take quite a long time to load. If we have not been in a zoo for a while the game can take a bit longer to rebuild some data for navigation and such. So try to wait it out.
In the meantime, verify game files to be sure all is correct there. Confirm you have a healthy amount of free space on your main drive in the computer. Disable steam overlay. Make sure nothing else is running in the background.

I just played this zoo three days ago and didn't have an issue. Not sure what changed in that time frame. How do I go about verifying my game files? I never had to do that before. And what does disabling steam overlay do? How do I go about doing that? Thank you for your help!
To verify game files open steam library, right click on the game and select properties. In the window that opens select installed files on the left then select verify on the right.
Disabling steam overlay just takes a little strain off the computer processes. It does some other things too but that's the gist. That option is found in steam settings.

So you know, several payers, not all, have had this and other similar issues lately so it seems we got a micro update of some type that affected the game (maybe not Planet Zoo) that changed things. I had it as well and once the zoo loaded it was back to normal.

I verified my games files and all were successful. I also disabled steam overlay. I have tried waiting out my zoo to load but it has been two hours of the animal idly walking and the tips popping up along the bottom of the screen. My other zoo loads in seconds. I wouldn't be super surprised about this if I hadn't played this zoo in awhile but I was literally playing on it 1-2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately there does seem to be occurrences of saves getting corrupted. If this was a franchise zoo try opening it as sandbox. If it was a sandbox zoo, try uploading it to the workshop and put a note in the description that you can't open it and need help. Once it's in the workshop share the link here.

Yeah it won't even open in sandbox. What a bummer.. Do you have any idea if they've come out with fixes for this before or do you unfortunately lose your zoo? Kinda makes me not want to play.. :/
Okay, do you know how to upload the zoo to the workshop? We can see if anyone else can open it if you do. That can confirm if it's the zoo it'self or maybe something on your end.
Just open my zoos and click the steam Icon to upload it.
