Barrier Issues w/ One-Way Glass
I am trying to build a habitat (Franchise mode). I set up the perimeter then realized the species was shy, so I needed to replace the glass panels with one-way glass. However, I cannot replace two particular glass panels. The game says "obstructed" and nothing I do fixes it. I've tried moving the educational stuff, making sure the terrain is even, etc.

The thing is, nothing has changed since the perimeter was built. I didn't make any terrain modifications, didn't even move a single post. The fence wasn't obstructed when I built it so I don't know why it's giving me issues now. I arranged everything perfectly and now I can't use the habitat I spent good money on. I can't move the animals in because the two open glass panels make them constantly stressed and attract protestors.

When you say "replace", are you tearing down the barriers and trying to replace with one way glass? You can just edit those two barriers and change them to one way glass without
tearing down the existing barriers. Or, do you mean you are trying to do the edit route and getting obstructed?

You can delete just sections of barriers, then replace them with others. Try that.

I do edit barrier -> highlight sections to change -> one-way glass

After doing this, it seems to be some weird issue with the terrain as the fence couldn't be built in the spot it had previously been placed. It's odd since I'm playing on a flat map but idk.

It's more likely that those sections are a bit too close to the paths you might already have in place. You could try to move the barrier slightly to get it to work. An alternative would be to use scenery/building pieces and the null barrier to create a custom barrier.

The edit and change type of barrier should work assuming you are not running a mod(s). Try verifying integrity of files.

Actually, The different barrier types can require different distances from the path. All are less than 1 meter though.

This is interesting, thank you! I did not know that and it could explain some issues I had (similar to that of the thread opener).
