If the collection box is in the middle, perhaps people there pay for both species?
Yes, I've looked at the animals and the guests say stuff like "That's what I like to see: A happy, healthy [animal species]!" There's boards AND audio, and the habitats are...not SUPER far but they're not like, directly next to each other. The actual exhibits (the small ones) are on the other side of the pathway from the wolves, while the tapir is farther down the path.
i start new game and only 1 out of my 3 animals got donations
I do recall that the guest happiness seemed to be the key but I'm sure there are a few other factors involved that required a well managed zoo.
