Filter animal market by biome and continent

Is there no way to add additional filters to the animal market? As a new player, if I want to create a desert area for my zoo, I have to look up what animals are appropriate, and then see if they are available in the market. It seems like a huge oversight not to be able to filter by biome and/or continent... Everything in the game takes longer than it should, but this particular issue is really bothering me... are there no mods or plans to make the adjustment?

oh yeah, I'd also like to filter by family - like big cats or primates, or something like that...

You would have too many tags for animals if you do that. Some animals can be found in desert, savanna, and grassland. Also some animals are on more than one continent.

I don't see why that's a concern... It works that way for plants!

Best to take this suggestion to Frontier's forums. I think it is a good idea and there is a precedent as we are able to do it in the zoopedia.
