I am only aware of one that was removed from a zoo in the last decade. It was flown to a long deep fjord in Norway that had a net placed at the sea end and staff log cabin built so an eye could be kept on it. To do that it cost £5,000,000, even though transport was provided free.
This logic doesn't make any sense. First of all it's a game. Games are not reality.
Second of all, no wild animal should be kept in a Zoo in real life. Most african elephants also get depressed in their small enclosures and their needs also can never be met by a Zoo, since they walk at least 25km a day and live in big families. They also very rarely breed being captive and therefore get caught and imported illegaly, yet here they are here in the game. The same thing goes for most wild animals which are part of Planet Zoo, so your argument does not make any sense at all.
Parks which are truly focusing on rehabilitation and conversation do not allow guests, because they try to get the animals back into the wild, not use them as entertainment and avoid getting them used to human contact. I can't get my brain around how you are so eager to defend one sepcies but ignore the exact same points that can be made for all the others.
Zoos are never appropriate for any animal, so if you want to make a point about political correctness, you'd better advocate for the game to be taken off the market completely. (which would also be complete nonsense of course because it's a game)
I enjoy playing this game a lot, because I love watching, learning and caring about and for animals but I would never visit a Zoo in Real-Life for previously stated reasons. After all it's great that I can watch digital animals and not contribute to the suffering of real ones :)
Your specism is weird and it comes out in the worst possible way.
So yes to a real aquatic dlc with actual underwater animals!
the real life controversy and the removal of them from aquariums
I know of a game called aquarists that allows to build and take care of sharks and fish. I play it when i want to take care of fish.
