This one will be a little more difficult I hear. I'll try to help by putting all bronze or lower ones in the market cheap. I'm begging others to do the same.
I would hate to lose this challenge due to lack of affordable breeders. I'll have the same same naming system as before. Any animals with a after their name are related, then b, then c, etc.

So each female can mate every five years over a span of 29 years (average) meaning each female will have five chances to breed in her lifetime. Probably will only successfully mate 3 times in her life bearing one child each time. That's not many offspring in 30 years. So be really studious of the mating tool and be sure to get the best mates for them.

If only that tool worked BEFORE you buy them. I've never seen it work while in the buying menu.

I'm going to spend some time today trying to get some breeders going. I have some gold rewards but not great mates and blew some credits on the one or two that were up when I logged in and were WAY overpriced... but I'll try and list what I get. I wish there was an organized way to keep the buy and sell crowd away from the species needed for the challenges when they are this specialized. It's one animal the market goes bonkers.

I found some nice females Frontier sold. I promise to not overprice my animals.
I have just had 4 born-2 no rating, 1 bronze, 1 gold.

I have one enclosure of Bonobos and will try and get another one going.

I have 2 zoos with my old bonobos in, still breeding but getting on. This challenge came along fine to help me restock them when the challenge is over rofl.

I now have a full complement .. 3 males and 7 females. I had 3 males and 1 male all gold amongst my reward animals so that helped alot. I then got another 6 females over the last few hours from frontier. They've all had their first lot of babies .. 5 of the 7 of them were gold. And most were female, which will help in the next group.

I'm running a guestless zoo so I don't have to worry about their needs as well. And easy mode so the stress on the animals and staff are less troublesome as well rofl.

One thing I found out, just in case no one else has noticed .. butterfly houses can count as shelter for the smaller animals. And unlike the tons of pictures I see of bonbos bathing in the water .. none of mine will set foot in it .. just lean in and drink rofl.

And yes, I never price up my animals, and put more out to trade during challenges. I'm aging up my old batch of babies at the same time so will trade those out once I have identified the best male to accompany my next batch of females. And will play through my other zoos.

I also started to breed for the challenge. It is good to read you guys are there too, because this challenge will be really hard. And it is a rare one too. I don't think we get releasing bronze ore silver animals often. It is usually about the star rating. I'll sell as many as I can for low too. And for silver rating the stats don't need to be to high, I was surprised that even bonobos with for example 42 in size got silver if fertility is high enough.

I have two Bonobo habitats - was able to get 3 good Bonobos for a normal price but now I see the first one for 10000...

Golds will count right towards the challenge? I feel like I remember they did last time we had a challenge like this.

Can't actually remember the last challenge of this kind, but for the 'three star releasing' challenge count the ones above too.
And it would be absurdly hard to breed only silver rated animals...

Yes, traditionally if it's higher rank it counts.

scatter them over the next few days for the early starters and leave some for the ones that wait to start when the challenge officially begins. With hour long trading windows it's hit and miss based on when people are playing and looking on the trade centre.
And you can always release a few yourself when the challenge starts to get some credit towards the challenge yourself.
