Help with stairs, one at a time?
I know how to make stairs and place them, but ive seen some videos where youtubers are able to build stairs 1 at a time and get the height they want without a path at the top to snap to. any tips really help:)

in the path options menu there is an option called "elevated length", click this option to on and set your desired length, the default is set at 4m but you can decrease it right down to 1m
Don't these youtubers have tutorials? Many do.
In the second tab of the path build panel, near the bottom, we find the option to adjust elevated length. We must click the box to activate it and the we may set the desired length. The length goes in .5 meter steps with the x.5 being displayed rounded up to the next number. With the path angle snapped to the highest amount each meter of length will raise the path .5 meters in height. Note that elevated length does not change the length when the path is elevated and flat. The exception to that is when the path nears a cliff.
I understood that the user wanted to know how to make stairs one at a time at the height one wants without a path at the top to snap to. I only know how to do this but with a path at my desired height (whether top or down) to snap to. Maybe this is possible with hacks like freebuild, I don't know.

Using the method I described one may make stairs at any desired height in 0.25 meter increments of height going up or down.
*tip* The hot key for raising is u and the hotkey for lowering j . This is much more controlable than using the mouse drag function.
