Is it possible to duplicate a franchise zoo?
I've spent 69 hours on one zoo, and now its so large it cant keep up without extreme lag and constant crashing.

after trying all tips to reduce lag, i've decide that since my zoo has 3 different parts, id like to split it into three different franchise zoos. i already know about saving habitats/buildings as blueprints, but i spend many hours on the terrain, which i don't know how to copy.

my solution then would be to create three saves and just delete different sections in each. is this possible at all? id like to keep them in franchise mode if possible.
very glad for any help

It gets complicated to do that in *franchise*. I'm sure you've noticed changing a name in franchise doesn't add a new zoo. At present to get what we need to do is remove the existing habitat barriers and create a series of new barriers that divides the area you want into areas about 100 meters square and save those as blueprints to be placed into a new franchise zoo. The bad part is that paths will not be saved and will need to be recreated. The good news is that the terrain and buildings will be saved. It also cost a lot of cash in franchise to do this so it takes a while to get it all together.
Kind of a lot of work but it can be done. It can get a bit confusing so it helps to put a temporary wall in the corners of the new barriers to align things when placing them.
when you create a habitat and save as a blue print, the terrain in that area gets saved too, you could delete your habitats, then potentially make a large habitat covering the whole area u want to copy over. I would suggest to test in sandbox first

if that works then ur main concern is gonna be money

It does work but the limits of the game make habitats larger than 100 x 100 sort of unstable. Sort of depends on the computer being used and the things within said habitat.
I've done it before and have tried many different approaches. Granted that was a year ago but the limits of the internal registers for habitats seem to be the same still.
