Game Running as background process
I'm having a problem, and it seems to only be with this game (which sucks as it's my favourite). When I launch the game Steam runs it with no issue but it's starting as a background process and isn't interactable. How can I bring the game to the proverbial foreground?

How are you launching the game? Through steam library or desktop shortcut?

Okay, maybe you need to set the executable to run as administrator? I really have no idea why you can't access the game after it starts though.

I suppose you could remove the config files (don't just delete in case something goes wrong) in this folder and see if the game resets...

I've set it to administrator. I'll try the config files when I can

Before deleting something, did you verify the game's files?

What exactly happens when you click play in your Steam library for the game?

I get a pop up to give the program administrator privileges, I press the 'yes' button, then it starts "running"

hmm, do you have any overlay programs? virus scanner? only thing i can really suggest is make sure everything is up to date and maybe try turning off any other programs you may have running to test if you're getting some weird interaction.

I'll give it a shot. No idea what caused it, it just started happening one day

pc gaming is like that sometimes. i once had a game only display on the bottom half of my monitor. top half of the screen was my desktop, bottom half was the bottom half of the game. ended up being one specific windows security update. so if you remember anything that updated or changed when your issue started that could be a clue.
