How is it there are penguins in the tundra and in the desert?
How can one "design" work in both extremes? Like do African penguins have something very different about them than King Penguins besides size? I am curious.

Because African penguins live in a Mediterranean climate, King penguins live in a boreal-tundra climate, both on completely different continents.

So King penguins just have more fat to survive the cold? Cause other animals that live the the Mediterranean don't have counterparts that can survive in the Tundra. It feels wrong have Penguins with no ice.

Many species have counterparts that live in completely different biomes. Just look at primates and their varied habitats as an example. Or equines.

Galapagos penguins live almost at the equator, Emperor penguins live at the very south pole, they're much more varied than most people assume.
