keepers wont fill food trays
i have a problem where keepers wont fill the food trays across my zoo. i order them manually. they come to habitat, do the clipboard animation, and leave to wandering state, its so annoying. i have work zones and keeper huts literally outside the door of a habitat

i read that i must remove extra enrichment items, i only have one per habitat, and the habitat food stat say "Low", so the keeper AI should at least notice that the food trays need filling

however they never ever fill up large food trough

how to fix please? :meepsad::cattiva:

If the animals aren't hungry, the keepers simply will not refill the food until they are. Sometimes it's a few months between feedings, so just check your animals (nutrition > nourishment) to see if they require food at the moment.

i posted this because my zoo is stuck in a spiral of protests due to malnourished animals and low welfare

Check if your keepers are in the work zone of the habitat.
Or that they have enough room to walk in the habitat
There can be several reasons for animals starving. Simply not having enough keepers or keeper huts can lead to this. It sounds like this might not be the issue for you though.
Some notes on keepers and how they work. First the keeper comes to the habitat and does a check on that habitat. Then the keeper goes to the keeper facility and prepares the food and returns to the habitat to fill the various feeders. After that the keeper will clean that habitat.

Workzones
For habitats it's best to have a 3 or 4 habitats and one or two keeper huts in the workzone, nothing else is required excepting to assign a few keepers. How many keepers depends on how many animals are in the habitat. Start with 3 or 4 keepers and add some if the habitats are staying dirty or animals are hungry

It is possible that the habitat has lost data (usual after a reload) and that habitat needs to be reset. We can reset the feeders by moving them slightly. In more stubborn cases we move a barrier post slightly, wait a few moments and then tap ctrl+z. That forces the game to recalculate the entire habitat.

If issues persist it might be worth the effort to verify game files.

Do note that a lot of strange things are occurring in planet zoo since the last few windows updates and you might be seeing some other issue as well. But those are the "normal" things that happen.

i did what you suggested as well as removing all food items and placing new ones, in addition to that i hired few keepers but i didnt add them to a workzone, and went to their work tab and set them to feed only. that seems to have fixed the problem

i was watching this video and this person also encountered this issues so imma guess it a bug in the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwDcMpT7UlI&t=738
