No male wild water buffalo
Started a new zoo like three or four real life days ago and because I hadn't yet researched everything for the wild water buffalo I figured I'd have my first animals be a herd of those.

In three *real life* days, checking in every couple hours, not once has there been just a regular male wild water buffalo! Once another player put up a few gold star albino males... at 10,000 conservation credits each.

those have literally been the ONLY males I've seen in three real life days!

What gives?

Unfortunately it sometimes happens that the random chances don't get a specific gender of animal for a given species for sometime. Rest assured, they will eventually appear. If not from the frontier zoo then maybe from another player in franchise.
Don't give up and good luck.

Ok, apparently putting the idea out into the world resulted in the Christmas miracle of a male wild water buffalo, yay! Definitely going to be selling his male offspring for reasonable prices at least until I get another "omg I must build a zoo like this" idea lol. Though I might move my little herd over to new zoos just so I can put out reasonably priced male wild water buffaloes!

Joyous celebrations!
And a wonderful endeavor for a community supporter!

I find this with a few species, so when they pop up it might be worth buying a couple 'spares' for when you want to start new families in new zoos. I have this sort of luck with male Thompson's Gazelle and female prairie dogs for some reason, so even though they are much more numerically common than albino Bengal tigers, I've got more of these fellas stashed away for when I'm prepping to seed a new zoo breeding line.
