Building new entrance
I am completely rebuilding one of my franchise zoos from scratch. I have removed everything including the entrance building, ticket gates and guest spawners. I can not remove the original pathing that was connected to the original spawn points and gates outside the zoo boundary. Is there a way to remove it completely?

How were you able to remove the actual original entrance gate? For me, while I can build new, additional entrances in my Franchise Zoo the option to delete the original one is greyed out when I select it.

I double clicked the entrance building to start edit mode then right click each piece of the building to delete it. It takes a little time because you can not select the entire thing outside the border.

Well Sonofa...

I almost found this out before you told me...I went into edit mode with the intent of deleting it piece by piece, but the little delete icon/button when you select the Entrance Gate is greyed out so I didn't think it could be done!

RIght clicking does indeed work...despite the button for delete being disabled. THANK YOU for sharing this information with me.

That's the amazing thing about this game.. play a thousand hours and yet STILL things to learn.

My new entrance building and plaza is coming along nicely. The new guest spawners and ticket gates are working fine. I just really wish I could get rid of the original paths that are outside the boundary lines, it makes the rest look weird. Help please.
Oh, and I also have 1 ceiling light from the original building left hanging in midair that I can't get rid of.

Yah, I messed around with it a bit last night once you told me how to delete all the other stuff. My current main franchise zoo was just waiting for the option to get rid of the main entrance as I had built a very nice new one for it already. And was annoyed as heck that the main entrance was still so much busier.

I don't think there's any way to get rid of those last remnants. I just built a small decorative garden, with thick foliage, some really tall trees, backed by a nice brick wall to mask it. LOL

Now that I know how to get rid of all the old stuff, I'll just plain to rebuild my franchise main entrances in the same spot in the future. For the next zoo.

OK, I use the Sandbox, so have always been able to have multiple entrances, but have also noticed that the default entrance still always seems to be the busiest. That often means that huge crowds build up not far for it. In the first two zones usually. Only around a quarter seem to spread out throughout the other zones (5 currently with a total of 18 habitats, some very big.) It also seem to be 'years' before the game/guests realise a new path has been laid. Hence why I create other entrances to relatively recent zones. But oddly, they still seem to gravitate towards the first zones regardless of the creatures in them! Currently it says the Gorillas are the most attractive in my zoo, but guests walk right passed them, to look at, for example peahens.
Incidentally, I have just noticed something new. When I create a new path joining on to an existing path, the guests on the existing path near to the new junction, all freeze. They only way to get them to move again is to Save the game then Resume.

Still haven't found a way to delete the bits of the original Zoo entrance but I wanted to circle back to thank you for this thread. I started a New Franchise Zoo and deleting 2 of the 4 original guest spawners at the start gives over 200,000 starter cash. :0)

I have long thought it would be nice to have a "sticky" post where people can advise on how to do things not intended by the game (e.g., less than 4 m wide paths, etc.) but then I thought maybe Frontier would say "hey, let's fix those bugs". :)

Wait, less than 4m paths? HOW!! I'll take instruction, link to a youtube video, or you coming over and showing me in person as answers...whatever I can get.

2m and 3m paths. Can be a bit glitchy with larger groups of people ;)

Use the que path connecte regular path and repeat. Rudi uses it in his speed builds.

Yes on the above. Guests can get clogged but I use them as staff paths in tight areas. Works great for those.

That's exactly what I want them for. And now that it's been explained...I recall that I had learned this previously. I didn't apply the knowledge right away and managed to somehow forget it completely. LOL

Thank you for sharing the information to both of you, @Varick and @Nariel!!

Just remember that when you are ready to place the guest spawners again in your new entrance they will cost you about 150K each

LOL, yes. What I did was delete the 4 spawners at the start, and replaced them with 2 of my own. It was a Net gain of about 120,000. You don't need 4 spawners at the start of a Zoo anyway, and I plan to build a 2nd entrance later when the zoo is bigger.

It's kind of stupid how much easier it makes the start of a new zoo having an extra 100,000... I feel like I'm in Sandbox mode.
