They are :) Don't worry if you don't have 100 CC to open another Zoo, you can get 100 CC free every 24 hours by clicking on Franchise mode in the main menu. Also you can click on any player avatars that visit your Zoo and "say hello", it will give you 20 CC per person, up to 100 CC per day I believe.
Also you can share animals across all of your Franchise Zoos. Any animals put in the trade center in one zoo can be accessed though the trade center in any of your other Franchise Zoos. CC also transfers between Zoos, but cash does not. So any new Zoo created will only have $40 thousand to start with.
From the main game menu select "Franchise" and the button to open a new franchise zoo is at the bottom on the left side of the next screen that comes up.
From the main menu, click on Franchise. There you will see your current Franchise Zoo save file, at the bottom click New Zoo (for 100 CC). There you can select the Biome, Continent, Difficulty and Name of your new zoo. Click create and you're done :)
If you want to go back any of your previous zoos (at any time) just click "Franchise" from the main menu, all of your Franchise Zoos are saved there :)
