Workshop Items not Showing in My Blueprint or Habitat Tabs

Hi,

There are some blueprint items that are not showing up in my blueprint or habitat tabs. For instance, I've clicked on the check mark on several zoos so that I can see how they are layed out., but they do not show up in my blueprint tab (or anywhere in my game for that matter). Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else had this same problem?

make sure you have any dlc that blueprints require (if the author doesnt list them you can find the wordy list on the top right). Also if in franchise/challenge make sure you have researched any appropriate themes

Builds requiring research should show up with a lock icon on them. Be sure to click clear filters when searching in the list.

Your question is a little unclear to me because you say blueprints aren't showing but go on to mention that you can't see zoos to check layouts in those tabs. If you have subscribed to a Workshop Zoo, it won't be under either one of those tabs. When you load the game after subscribing to a zoo, click on "my zoos" but then change the tab at the top to "steam downloads". That is where you will find the new zoo you have subscribed to. Click "open as sandbox" and the zoo will load so that you can then explore and play it. After you save the zoo for the first time, it will then appear under your "my zoos" for continued play. BTW, it is my understanding that if you subscribe to a zoo that contains content from a PDLC that you don't own, you can look at it but you can't save or play it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. I would assume your only choice on those zoos, should you download one, would be to unsubscribe from it after looking at the layout.

If your question does pertain only to blueprints, just ignore me, lol, since you have other replies for them. I thought I would post just in case what you aren't finding are actually zoos, rather than individual blueprints.

Thank you all for your help! I forgot to say I own all the DLCs. So that would not be a problem. I do have blueprints that don't show up, but swskydancer you hit the nail on the head! I did not realize I had to check in a different place for the zoos than in blueprints. I will try to follow your instructions the next time I play PZ. As for now I go to watch Football!!!!!

Yes, that is correct Skydancer. We often confuse parks with blueprints. To be fair, it is not clearly stated in steam

@mooneyhamt, happy to help. This is actually a pretty common question by players downloading their first zoo. I, too, thought the first zoo I downloaded didn't show up until I happened to watch a video on Workshop items explaining where to look for it. When you're new to the game and absorbing so much information, it's easy to overlook the options at the top of the "my zoos" menu.

@grampers62, you're right, it isn't clearly stated in Steam. Having this topic arise again makes me think it might help if creators added a little blurb to zoo uploads as to where to look for the download. With every sale new players are attracted to the game and have to go through the learning curve. This is a question I think is going to come up time and time again.

I downloaded the map below, tried to open it everywhere in the Menu and in My Zoos, including using the method you mentioned (before i read your post) and did not find the map. I read your post, tried again and still not there.

Any idea why I can't find him? I have all the DLCs, all I can think of at the moment is that it needs a reward that I haven't won yet.

Hi Thor II! I don't know why you can't find that map under Steam downloads in the "my zoos" tab. The description indicates it is just terraformed so I wouldn't think that a reward item would be the problem.

I went ahead and downloaded the map myself and it showed up just fine for me. I took a look at it and didn't see anything that should prevent it from showing up for you. Sorry, I don't have a suggestion to help you. It should be in the Steam downloads tab.

@mooneyhamt, glad to hear you found the zoos. I hope you get the crashing issue sorted out.
