Escape Points?
I built a deep pit around this enclosure and thought it was wide enough to prevent escape. Yet it seems the black panther can escape. I tried some homemade fences which didn't work. So I placed those large 12mx12m glass panels buried halfway on the left, and a glass barrier fence 4m high on the right side of the image. The escape points show on the null barrier which is just -outside- of the glass fences. Even a couple of spots along the back just this side of the tall climb proof wall on the hill show escape points. Why???? What am I missing? (this game constantly points out that I still have so very much more to learn!)

Put the null barrier on the other side of the trench.

My goodness - that simple? Why didn't that occur to me? Thank you very much!

Have you tried putting the null barrier behind the pit? Like right where those smaller fences at the path are. Otherwise you could also try to put down some normal barrier that is not a null barrier on the other side of the pit. In combination with the pit the barrier should not be accessible then to the jaguar... theoretically.

The pathing of the animals inside a habitat can sometimes be really weird with unexplainable spots where they apparently can escape. I'm not sure what exactly is causing your problem in this specific case, but when I have a weird spot like that I just tend to throw down lots of big rocks at that spot, that normally gets rid of the apparent escape spot lol.

No, I haven't tried that yet - finishing up some IRL chores before I get back to the game. It makes sense that the pit be in front of the barrier so the game recognizes the insurmountable obstacle . Thank you very kindly. My days seem to often have those weird little explainable occurrences. Live and learn. :)

A little tip..
When using a cliff/terrain for an habitat wall, if the the habitat is in the pit the null barrier should be on the top of the cliff or buried in the terrain. If the habitat is on the cliff the barrier should be at the bottom of the cliff.

Thank you so much everyone. Moving the null barrier into the far bottom edge of the pit and lining the bottom of the inner edge of the pit with rocks did it. Now they can't even jump down into the pit. Nimble creatures they are!
