PC Specs enough?
Hello guys!

My gf bought a new Laptop and wants to play Planet Zoo. Are her PCs specs able to run this game?
I am not sure about the CPU and the Video card.

My gfs laptop is a lenovo ideapad 3 with:

Prozessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz 1.19 GHz
RAM 8,00 GB
System 64-Bit-Betriebssystem, x64-basierter Prozessor
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770

Here are the Planet Zoo System Requirements (Minimum):

CPU: Intel i5-2500 / AMD FX-6350.
CPU SPEED: Info.
RAM: 8 GB.
OS: Windows 7 (SP1+)/8.1/10 64bit.
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (2GB) / AMD Radeon R9 270X (2GB)

Cheers

Cutting it really close to the minimum requirements. Which would mean she'd likely need to play on low setting. Depending on the dev/game, the minimum specs can either mean "technically playable", or "actually works".
She could always buy the game and test it out, then refund if it's not playable (though I don't recommend this option too often as it may lock you out of future refunds if you abuse it)

Thanks you very much for the quick reply and the useful content

No worries, hope it works as it's a fantastic game!
If she ends up refunding, just remember to play less than two hours

If the laptop uses integrated graphics she might experience failed starts over and over depending on the architecture of the motherboard.

The laptop might have some issues launching the game like grampers said, if you do, she should refund the game. Don't troubleshoot if this is the case, likely too much for the integrated graphics to handle

also thanks to mystical ostrich, grampers and mistah for these helpful hints ! :)
I'm somewhat confused on the GTX 770 paired with a 10th generation mobile platform. Usually the Intel 10th and 11th generation platforms would be paired with have much more recent GPUs. Kepler (which the GTX 600 and 700 series are) isn't even supported by current nVidia drivers. You'll be limited to older drivers. Are you certain it's a GTX 770? Any "new" laptop shouldn't have a GPU so old that it's unsupported now.

The CPU, despite the low base clock, does surpasses the Core i5 2500 the game asks for (as long as it's not restricted from boosting, so make sure game play is done when connected to power and not on battery). You should be good on the CPU.

RAM is a bit low but if you're running nothing but the game you should be okay.

The onboard IGP may not cut it so as someone else mentioned, make sure it uses the discrete card. I usually hang around the hardware/OS forum and a few users have passed through there with newer laptops saying the game runs, but textures will be low quality regardless of setting, so it seems even some newer onboard IGPs still aren't great for the game. If it does manage to runs it out of meeting technical minimum, performance will still be below the GTX 770.

If that's actually a mobile GTX 770 though (again, strange pairing with such a newer CPU though) then it technically meets it, but mobile GPUs are usually lower speed than desktop equivalents. As long as low video settings are okay then it does meet the requirements. If that's actually something like a mobile 970 or 1070 then it's better off.
