I recreated Rome's Trevi Fountain in the Workshop
I'm a longtime Planet Coaster player/builder getting active in Planet Zoo lately, and this is my first decently complex build, which aimed to replicate the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome:

As you can see, this version of Trevi Fountain uses animals instead of statues of Roman deities and conquerors, but I tried to keep the aesthetic and feel very similar. If you use this in your zoo, I'd love to see some screenshots of the result.

Cheers!

This is a lovely piece, I hope you are pleased with it - I particularly enjoy the lighting.

I've only visited Trevi once, but I feel you've captured the magic.

Thanks for the kind words, Tonks. How was it seeing the fountain in real life?

I'm going to Italy next year for the first time since I was a kid, when I was too young to appreciate the architecture, and I'm excited to see it IRL. There's so much to see in Rome.

Even on a miserable, grey February afternoon, it was still pretty awesome. The architecture in that whole part of the city is very special, definitely worth a specific visit. I recommend booking a slot at the Vatican Museum if you can, it's a treasure trove of all sorts of beautiful things - I managed to see my first Dali painting in the same hour as a whole bunch of Hellenistic sculpture an Ancient Egyptian artefacts. Gloriously Eclectic.

I will definitely add the Vatican Museum to my itinerary, thank you for recommending it. Ancient Greek and Egyptian art and architecture are right up my alley as well. There are a surprisingly large amount of Hellenestic ruins outside of Greece that are extraordinarily well-preserved due to a more conducive climate and not as much damage from wars over the century.

I appreciate the info, as my brother is going to be posted to the US embassy in Italy as a FSO with the state department, so I can stay as long as I want and I'm putting together an extensive list of places to visit. It's gonna be a huge advantage having a place to stay for free and using it as a home base to visit different places in Europe. I can't wait!
