Anteater Hard Shelter

I'm getting really frustrated about my anteater habitat. There are 2 anteaters with a bunch of peccary. For some reason the anteaters are absurdly demanding about their hard shelter. I've seen people build 16x16 shelters which satisfy them but on mine something seems to be bugging out. They are only at 33% with a 16x16 shelter and a slightly smaller one. I tried placing an enormous shelter in and it went up to 80% but as I was tweaking things it dropped down to 60%! I've never had so much trouble and I have no idea what is causing it. Having to pause and unpause for it to update is sucking the fun out of this zoo.

It could be that since they are sharing the habitat, they are not using the shelter. Or there is not enough of shelters.

use the tagging system in the shelters to see what anteaters use then add them in to the habbitat

If you would rather have them shelter in a natural setting, use an invisible (including natural
inside path that can be terrain painted) empty walk through exhibit. This gives a large shelter area that can be decorated with plants, rocks, etc. It can also sit astride a habitat barrier if you do not need that much shelter area.
