Does the game have some kind of animal viewer?

My son loves animals and I was wondering if the game had an option to just look at the animals kind of like Jurassic World Evolution has.

I am not familiar with Jurassic World Evolution but the game does have a Sandbox mode where management requirements can be disabled and you can just watch the animals without having to attend to anything else. There are also camera options to view via the guest's eyes, to lock onto an animal and watch it, and to explore by yourself in a first person view. If that is what you mean.

Yes, there is.
Guests, employees and animals have a little camera icon when you click on them.
That makes the camera follow them.
So you can even watch the zookeepers doing their job.

As said above, makes most sense in sandbox mode.

There is also a huge zoopedia where you can learn something about the animals.
That might be of interest for your son (and you!) as well.

100%. My niece liked to come over and play and I would set her up in sandbox with her fav animals and she'd watch them in camera mode. I do too, but you asked about a kid.
