Can't select PVC curtain
I removed the ones that are part of the walkthrough exhibit because I am building my own look, but I can't select the bloody construction item ones that I put on the build! I just dropped them in for spacing, they are so not where I'd actually want them and I am nowhere near done deciding my layout.

I can't click the strips, not the frame, doesn't matter how close or far I am. ACK!

You were in edit mode when you added the PVC curtain. If you are not in edit mode, you can put them in and use them as spacers and then move/remove them as you wish. If you want to keep them, then do a multi select and add them to the walk through exhibit. The problem you are running into is when they become a part of the walk through exhibit, they can no longer be selected as the game considers it as part of the whole. What you can do is click on the walk through and click the split from group. You can then remove the PVC curtain you added. Then just do a multi select and regroup all the scenery pieces you had added and want to keep. I believe that should work.

Sorry, not entirely following. Are you saying it's attached to the exhibit, even though it's several squares away from it and attached to a rather large construction? Do I have to remove the two that are nowhere near them as well in order to edit them?

Why on EARTH were these programmed so badly?

Yes, it is attached to the exhibit if you added them when you were in edit mode with the exhibit included. Once the added PVC curtain is added the game thinks it is a part of the exhibit and the only way to manipulate those PVC curtains is under the custom feature of the exhibit. Which, of course, does not apply to the added ones so that is why you are stuck. Stupid, I know. Stupid to be programmed this way but i think it is an oversight on Frontier's part. And, yes, it does not matter how far away those PVC curtains are if they were added in exhibit mode with that exhibit included in the edit mode. I thought you just had scenery items included but since you have a construction (which can not be regrouped of course) let me take a look in sandbox and see if there is a way to do it without losing your construction group.

Edit: No, looks like if they were added to construction while in edit mode (with or without an exhibit), they can not be removed unless everything is ungrouped. :(

Son of a b****!!

UUUUGH!!!!!!

Well, I am NEVER using those again!!!

Well, I have used them when I want to screen off an entry and not see the guests go through the solid doors. I think that is the only use I have found for them .

Maybe I will put them in later NOT as part of the building, just pieces by themselves.

SO ANNOYING though. It might mess up the ENTIRE thing to have to delete the exhibit - the game can be so bloody picky sometimes! I've been working on this for DAYS. Grrr.

I deleted the exhibits - it did not remove the curtains or allow me to select them. I am truly not understanding how I remove the bloody things. Please clarify if you got it to actually work.

Not delete; you have to ungroup. Which, unfortunately ungroups all your work. Then you can click on the curtains and delete them.

As in the ENTIRE group? You can do that? I guess I've never had reason to do that.

Yes, ungroup the group that contains the curtain. Stupid I know but even a pin cushion technique does not work because that curtain will not merge with a stick. :P

All right, so...I can delete all the exhibits and then I can split everything. From there, yes, I can remove the curtains.

But this creates just...so many new problems.

#1: I can't seem to put it back together (I can make a blueprint, but, see below)
#2: I have a second group of items right under it (the floor) so I can't just select the now split items without selecting the ground below
#3: I already have pathing in place, including upper levels. I don't even know if it's possible to line it all up again

WHY DID FRONTIER DO THIS!? RIDICULOUS! ARRRG! SO MUCH WORK is about to be RUINED!!!!!!

Giving you some points for the help, even though it's not solved yet - I appreciate your help!
