might not be the time to be experementing but i wonder if rides generate much cash?

I find that the shuttles are the most economic. But money is rarely made if you don't have a lot of stations and a lot of guests. You have to keeping clicking on people to see what they think about the price. And Keep Q paths short, otherwise 100s of people can be waiting, and therefore not wandering around spending money!

in my experience generate rides money but you have to keep them short, if you use them for transprotation its not a win.

But that's just what they are for, transportation. Guests will use them to go to a particular habitat. It's often a good idea to have popular animals near to stations, and at least 1 station per zone, or you don't make money from the rides. The train seems to be worst for not making money!

Which greatly upsets me as someone who used to work on a steam railway. Everyone loves steam trains, they should make massive bank.

It seems they tried to reign in the rides as early versions of the game one could charge really high prices and turn a real profit on them. I guess they wanted players to focus on the animal part of the zoo....

The guests let you know if they think the fare is too much or not enough. Often it's obvious if it's too much, they turn away from the entrance. But it was better before Frontier changed it to a single price applied to all stations. It was better when you could set a lower price for unpopular stations, and a higher one for popular ones. Not all stations are equal! There's also a juggling act with the timings. And it often has to be adjusted. Stations need to be watched! Oh, and I always have the shuttles on max speed.

The big trick to rides is to have them viewing higher appeal habitats with little or no parts where the ride views no habitats. Guest routines make them want to see as many as they can on a ride and they also want to hear speakers about the nearby habitats.

It is funny how the guests ride around, pointing and ooohing at nothing. Even the inside of tunnels. Guests walking around also point upwards, as if they are looking at dinosaurs ...

I have noticed that some animals don't attract many guests or donations, so it's possible to have large zoos not making a lot of money fast enough. Exhibits seem to be the worse for that.
grampers62 13/ago./2024 às 4:21
It's all tied to appeal ratings of the species that are in that specific zoo.
Just Kevin 13/ago./2024 às 16:45
The Appeal selection in the trading list brings a named animal to the top. Fred the gorilla for example, not the most popular species. It's bats for exhibits, but they don't seem to attract many viewers, and those who do look, only leave small donations, if any. Currently I have a Zone with only exhibits in it. It's not a popular zone! Offspring of any species draw the crowds though.

I don`t know if it helps but right now my big Drive finally pays of. I diped the Pricing to 20 Bucks and they run for it. I placed two of the stops at two enterances, this way they will use it to ride home.

$20 is high. And have you noticed that guests who have just arrived are often the ones who think it is? I slowly increase ride price according to what those stood in the Q think is good value. If they think that then I increase the price by, say, $5. $6 may be too much at that time! It used to be easier when a price for each station could be set individually, It was possible to set a station at $20, where at others it was far too much. It does not seem possible to even break even with less than 3 stations. And enough rides so people are not stood waiting for ages. But it's frustrating that at some popular stations for people wanting to get on, people do not get off!

i have no complains about the ride, "only i wanna take the ride" Comments. But i don`t have any other experience, so could be its because the many Animals
