I just started using mods a mouth and if you want to start to using mods too here are some picks I think you should get!

FreeBuild

I think everyone has this one but if you don't you should even if you don't want to use mods, the reason is it has helped me SO MUCH in builds, it allows to have no obstructions, making usable things look so much better, paths have a terrible hitbox around them and I got this mod only a year after I started playing because of it. Its very useful and gives so much more fun with building 10/10

Aquria Pack

This one i'm still not sure if you really need it to enhance your builds, but i'm putting it on the list anyways, it adds lots of props but the ones I think are the most useful are the corals,
making underwater habitats are seals and sea lions have been so much easier and fun because of them. 8/10

Exhibit Prop and animal Packs

I'm putting these 2 mods together because they work so well, so I know every planet zoo player knows exhibit animals are underwhelming, but these 2 mods fix that! thee prop pack gives you all the props from the exhibits to allow you to customize them fully, and the animal prop lets you place the animals down as models to fully make your own exhibits! they may not be functional yes, but you can place education signs as well to still have some functionality, you can know have mixed exhibits and its so much fun to use! 10/10

Animal Packs

so I can't really say all of them because there are SO MANY but this is opinion based on the ones you want.

So overall if you want to get mods those are my picks, when I started and still now, the game feels different not in a good or bad way, its just I don't know, if you want to use mods, my warning is be careful because the game may not feel the same, my tip: don't go overboard. If you want a new animal get it, I got the Harbor seal by Leaf because I love them and wanted to make a habitat for them in my California based zoo, but don't get too many mods if you still want to feel the same game, The mod from this list I Recommend even if you don't want mods Is FreeBuild, it just improves the game, the Exhibit Props as well but not as much if you don't care about exhibits. But thats my list! tell me your modding tips in the comments for other mods I should try!

Well, the last update to the mod was on November 8, 2023. There have been new updates and 2 DLC's since then.
