Mega Slow Loading Times!

Since the last planet zoo update the game takes far longer to load. I have not experienced game crashes like many other players have reported just lengthy start ups. Tried all of the usual clean up tricks to remedy but no joy. I just wondered if anyone else has this issue since the barnyard Dlc release.....

Yes, It does seem that load times do take a fair bit longer. When loading a zoo for the first time post update the zoo will take much longer but after that first load it gets better.

Yes that is what i have been told but it's still far longer than it used to take. My old larger zoo's used to load quicker than they do now since the new update.

Yes, this is a thing that has to do with the update. A few past updates did the same but it wasn't as noticeable for most players.

I'm also having the same issue. The zoo I'm currently working on before the update took about 7-10 minutes to load, after the update it took over 40 minutes to load. I've experienced similar issues with past updates but this slow down is extreme in comparison.

The game and its saves do seem to take longer after the last update. It takes so much longer I often think it's not going to load! I have no idea why it should, but I have noticed that there are now many auto-saves for the same zoo! I have three auto-saves right now. 1, 2 and 3, with slightly different times on them.

The auto saves have been three. What is new is that if we do a save and then save and exit a franchise zoo we get two saves. That makes for chances to recover a bad save! I expect the longer load times might be related to a change in the save data and the addition of the new animation routines in the 1.17 update. Would explain why the first load post update seems so unbearably long for a zoo. But it does get quicker on consecutive loads.
