Please add habitat management (similar to exhibit management)
Anyone that's tried to build a mega zoo with as many species as possible has probably run into the same issue - after a while you just can't keep up with the animals.

We need auto animal management like the exhibits have where after a certain limit is reached, excess animals are automatically boxed up and moved to the trade center by the keepers. I still want animals to breed, I just don't need an alert every three seconds about how yet another species is upset because there are too many of them. Especially with ones like Capybaras, Fennecks, Wild Dogs, and Peacocks which all seem to birth a new litter every .2 seconds.

What would be really nice is if it didn't just move them to the trade center but also auto-posted them for sale as well (using whatever the recommended credit amount was for each animal) and if we could have some sort of filter/exception so that it didn't auto-sell mutations like the albinos.

This would be such a huge improvement for people trying to build big zoos with lots of animals.

Yes, yes please!

But is that not all part of running a zoo? I don't use Management for Exhibits even. For both habitats and exhibits I just look at the animal list every now and again, click the Maturity tab, and that brings the offspring to the top of the list. Which I have all on contraception. The game normally warns when one has matured, and you can see that in the animal list as red. (then I sell it!) But I do have ageing set at 2.

Delegating is also part of managing a zoo. You should be able to have the keepers automatically box up the animals after you set limits. Just because you don't use the management feature doesn't mean it wouldn't be useful and/or improve the experience for a lot of other folks.

unreal... exhibit management work only because there is no inbreeding mechanic for exhibit animal... and this would be massive issue for habitat animals...

I suggested this months ago for rapidly breeding animals. May not be necessary for larger animals, or animals that prefer solitude (Bengal Tigers come to mind) but the smaller ones like Meerkats, Prairie Dogs, Capybaras, Beavers, (Mostly Rodent Family Types), Birds.... these type of animals have fast birthing rates and easily gets out of hand very quickly between bad gene results and dirty habitats. I really think this would be a great quality to life addition to the zoos to help with population management.

would be better and easier give to animals real time lifespan

I agree but since they have a weird time cycle on the game, it kinda makes sense of the aging. I think they need to adjust the calendar speed, not only for aging but for scheduling animal talks and habitat clean up (which should be more frequent than monthly)

then they should synchonize ingame time with real time... it's not making any sence anyway when guests are present in zoo weeks or months...

Well, I suppose they could introduce a zoo manager as staff. Then all you need do is build a zoo and watch it run :-)

Management things like that would have saved me from almost 200 wild pigs, and another poster from having to host a "virtual" roast pea fowl feast! It would have helped my CC a lot, if I could have auto released those pigs!

More auto-management features doeos not sound desireable at all when the game can't handle current processes. I love the exhibit management feature, but I have parks I can no longer enter because I turned it on there and now they crash on startup. In other scenario maps i had to turn it off and sell all infrastructure to be able to complete them.

I have it turned on in all my exhibits in my zoos and have never had it cause a crash. And I'm talking zoos with several dozen regular exhibits and 4 or more of the walk-through exhibits.

I think you have a different issue going on.

it's probably because your exhibit trade center s full...

It's not hard to control animal population. Just occasionally click Zoo, Animals. Then Maturity tab to bring all the offspring to the top. I just then apply contraception to them, and when they mature I sell them. The game warns you of any males that start fighting. Then you sell the youngest. It also warns you if animals are fighting because there's just too many for that species to be happy. Welfare is a handy tab as well, because it shows you any that have gained low welfare, then you just look at the habitat to see why.
