Guests and the Train Dilemma
I am struggling with making a train, but I'm hoping to stick with it. I'm curious though. If I build two separate zoo entrances and have the train as the only method of movement between these two sort of separate zoos does it negatively impact guests? And if there are no animals to be seen along the way how does that impact guest happiness?

The transport rides seem to have been set to be less used by guests if they do not go near habitats. One may indeed create a ride system that takes guest from one area to another and if there are no other means to get to the habitats the guests will tend to use them. It does seem that many guests will turn around and leave though, depending on the rating of the zoo and the game difficulty settings.

I once placed part of a Zone on top of a hill. Two habitats. The only way up was via the cable car. But staff will not use them, so you have to have extra staff up there, plus a restroom for them. And a vet's and a quarantine, not to mention a Trading post. Just about everything really! I did in the end put paths up to it as well.
Stations can be a puzzle at times. 100s waiting at one (always a good idea to have very long Qing paths) and no one at others. I came to the conclusion that if a station is not near to a habitat - that has a popular creature in it, no one will use that station. I have placed stations near to entrances, but it does not always make them any more popular with potential passengers. It can be hard to keep up with stations really. Price, number of, and number of carriages.
