Report a translation problem
(test another game which starts perfectly)
That's the basics. There does seem to be an issue with the game connecting to it's servers causing this. We are waiting for a patch. It seems likely to be server side and might be corrected on the weekly server update on Tuesdays.
Game files have been verified. The game starts to load then abruptly stops.
Thank you! This worked for me too. I hope they issue a fix soon, as it should run on Windows 11 (as it was doing without an issue prior to installing 1.17.1 today).

However, before I started on everything that they had suggested, I turned off the compatibility mode that I had applied for Windows 8 which had given me a temporary fix.
I then attempted to launch the game, and lo and behold......it started up!! YAY!
Anyone have any idea why this would work?
