Is it possble to merge two sections from seperate rides of the same kind?
The issue is that I have 1 boat ride section that is just track, and a second section that is just the ride station, and I don't know how to combine them together. I have to do this mainly because the stations never seem to place correctly as a shell, or its impossible to edit after the station is placed. Autoconnect does not work, the second track's station just wraps the track back around the current station into itself, and not to the first track which is just tracks and no station.

You can cross over two different rides with their individual tracks (as shown below done for a story workshop park) but two different ride stations will not connect their tracks with each other. If that is what you are asking. You have to do the station/track/station/ track/connect to first station (except for shuttle rides).

Or, are you asking how to add multiple stations on a riverboat ride? Place your station and do track to length you want and then click on the station icon and either click on ground or hit enter to "set" the station (multiple times will lengthen the station) and then switch to track and continue. Then again, I may be misunderstanding what you are asking. Could you do a screen shot?

Simply put, two individual rides may not be merged into one. One may use the angle snap feature to lock the turn angle of the track in 15 degree increments to maintain the building angle snap to aide in keeping station blueprints aligned with the ride. The boat ride is the easiest to keep the vertical placement as we know it aligns to the water if the terrain underwater is at two meters deep. That means the station only needs to sit at two meters below the surface.

I am trying to merge/combine two different station blueprints from the workshop into a single tracked boat ride "building". I believe my issue is that it does not seem possible to combine pre-existing , or newly added, stations to a older track.

What are the two workshop blueprints?

I think he means two complete ride blueprints, not just the stations.
But if it is stations without the rides... We can not merge two buildings that both contain grid based objects.

So.......it's not possible to delete part of the just track, then add track to the just station, making sure it's attached to the open ends of the just track?

nope

As grampers says, it is not possible to combine two separate rides. However, since track can be overlaid, it is easy enough to place station buildings from two different rides of the same type and replace the station. I have done this with rides from my different zoos but I suggest adding "hide me see me" signs to make the vertical placement easier. Not sure how often this would come up but it can be handy when passing through different theme areas and you already have some station/ride blueprints. Depends on what you want to do. :)

I think I know what you are trying to do. Use a blueprint for a train station but use the blueprint twice. The game won't let you connect the separate stations, they are considered individual rides.

However, easiest fix is likely to just delete the station from the blueprint then save it again. Use this new stationless blueprint and put it on top of the stations you build yourself. This should solve your problem and let you build what you want to.
