Current challenge endangered animals
Seems that not all animals listed in the zoopedia under very endangered count? I released wild water buffalo, chinese pangolin and tasmanian devil and got nothing. Red panda and malayan tapir counted. Which animals did you all release?

I tried African Penguin - did not count, then released bengal tiger, giant otter, red panda and siberian tiger which all counted. All released were 3* animals.

I Have had quite a lot of animals not count, such as West African Lions and Black & White Ruffed Lemurs. Would love to know which animals actually do count, seems all my hard work over the last few days has counted for nothing.

I'm sure all of the animals are 3 stars on the animals info panel, but it still not count (and I cap the picture to record it)
but some animal count such as giraffe
I don't think the problem is release wrong 3 stars animal

Is the challenge very endangered, or just normal endangered?

It does say 'stark gefährdet' which translates to very endangered on my challenge tab. And I think all of the mentioned above animals are listed in the zoopedia as such.

My tab is in english and it just says endangered, not critically endangered. The ones I released which passed like the Tigers were only Endangered. I tried a Critically endangered (Black-and-White Ruffed Lemur) and it didn't work.

Also I know how to identify 3* animals - have done challenges in the past.

ive release nile leshwai, african penguins and something else that i cant remember haha, but they are not counting at all. something is as its 40% complete, but it would be helpful if they actually said what animals on the community page on their website if not all endangered are counting towards the goal

We can take orang utan and siamang off the list as well...
Didn't count either.

Siberian Tigers counted, but like kaijuboi12 only worth a pittance as far as conservation credits go. The rewards from the challenges are too low too. Some of the challenges are quite challenging (huh) and reward only a hundred or so credits.

Lar Gibbon and Siamang didn't count for me. Proboscis monkey did. Haven't tried anything else yet, but it's looking like my options are pretty narrow. Yikes.
zltiley May 29, 2024 @ 12:06am
Combining all responses, these are the animals that everyone has said DOES COUNT: Siberian Tigers, Proboscis monkey, Bengal Tiger, giraffe, giant otter, red panda

I released three 4*star Gharials, critically endangered according to zoopedia, and I didn't get any points towards the challenge
