Modular Souvenir Shop
I have been running into the issue of guests not entering my modular souvenir shops that I built.

Guests will walk up to the entrance of the shop, and then turn around without entering. I have tested this on several occasions, and the result is always the same. I have tried to reconnect the path, lower the shop a little bit, lowered the prices of every item, and have even rebuilt the shop from scratch. Nothing works, and they do not enter the shop at all.

I have become frustrated, and figured that it is an isolated issue, but I am unsure of how to fix it at this point. I submitted a ticket to Frontier, and all they said is that they are going to look into it but did not provide a solution.

Has anybody run into this issue? And is there a fix that you know of?

In mine, the guests were stuck in it and the employee was not able to enter.

Yeah, there are still quite a bit of bugs to be sorted in the modular shops. One thing I've noticed is that rotating the shop seems to be an issue. I think there might be a connection in the choice of maps used as well but it is difficult to sort that as there are other issues influencing this.
I have shops in several zoos, some work some don't. None of these shops work completely as intended but some mostly work. Thinking there might be an issue with traversable tags on the shop floors that are actually the root cause but the folks over at frontier might have more/other ideas on that.
In the mean time, while we wait for multiple fixes, report your findings to the issue tracker being sure to add to existing reports rather than starting new ones.

Same.
I built two of them in my newest zoo. One of them, guest go in and look around but end up 'trapped' inside the shop. The vendor at the other one, stands glitching at the door, unable to go inside. Nothing seems to fix it so far.

I have noticed multiple check outs seems to be an issue. None of mine with more than one comes close to functioning.
On the plus side.... They don't seem to be breaking the saves at the moment.

Haven't tried them yet, but it sounds like I'm gonna have some GREAT screenshots when I do! Do you choose which shops to place? Sounds fun-sign me up! What happens if you decorate the inside of the shops?

To be able to play with these shops, it would be helpful to me to know what's going on with these glitches, and are they like the one grampers62 posted a screenshot of? Coz that was hilarious! :LaughingGuest:

Since 16.2 update the shops seem to be working without issue though guest draw seems to have dropped. Of course that might be just the zoo at the moment...

No, everytime I load a saved game, the people are stuck in, or the employee is stuck out.

I'm playing in sandbox mode and just placed a restaurant and a souvenir store and no guests can enter. I have a path to each and there are vendors inside...at the moment. I've tried sliding them right and left, up and down, but so far nothing has helped. I'm wondering if there is something in settings that I need to tic to work properly?
The modular shops seem to be working as expected theses days. There are a few things to be aware of though. there needs to be a clear area in front of the door 2 meters deep and a clear area in front of the counters 2 meters deep. This seems to affect the re regrouping of guests as they enter and leave the shop. The guest happiness also affects the guest choice to enter. happy guests buy more memorabilia.

Sorry, but this isnt right. The gift shop still has bugs. I opened a new zoo a couple of days ago and build a modular gift shop. I even stood with the given shelfs just to get sure I didnt messed up something. In the beginning, visitors entered and bought stuff like expected. Today, the visitors are refusing to enter just like KxlbyOnline discripted it. I didnt change anything at the gift shop or its roadconnections.
Well, I tryed to replace the gift shop to get a new road connection, which didnt work. But, after quiting to the main menu a loading the savegame, the pathfinding was updated and the shop is working again.
I have never been able to the get the modular shops to work. I have been playing another PC game, then decided to come back to Planet Zoo when they released the new DLC. It'd been about 8 months since I've played. I thought, hey...let's try this modular shop...it should be fixed by now, right? Nope. Guests won't enter. If I use one of the pre-built ones, it seems to work, then after awhile, or if I stop and restart the game, no guests enter again. I've given up on them.
I put at least one in every zoo and haven't had issue with them since update 12. It is important that there are other regular shops or counters that sell mementos for them to completely function correctly for some odd reason though.
