No matter how good a manager one is protesters can eventually show up in one's zoo. Just as was said before check out why they came and assess for yourself how much an issue it is. But more often than not protesters are indeed a sign that something isn't well with animal care and the manager should be working on that issue as soon as they become aware of it. Seasoned players generally have less issues as they have seen these and plan ahead with design and management but newer players will need to learn what went wrong so they may find ways to prevent protesters in the future. So be patient, study the issues and plan ahead next time.
But most of all, don't stress over it and have fun.
I do this a lot sometimes. They'll protest for no seeming reason.
But yeah, check their thoughts to see WHY they're protesting. I've had situations where an animal was injured before, but didn't know it til protesters showed up.
