Please stop forcing us to download DLC even without paying for it

Every dlc is downloaded at launch. But, the game isn't getting way bigger, so I don't see the problem.

Are you sure he does not mean the building pieces you have to use filters to keep from showing up in menus? Even though you can't use them unless you have the DLC, it does not mean they are not data on your pc otherwise why would the icons be there? Correct me if I am wrong please because I have stopped updating the game a long time a go because of this and just play offline sandbox.

They could make it optional like every other dev. It's in properties for games, simple tick boxes to use or not use a dlc. For whatever reason they don't use this system

you do realize the majority of that free update are animations models... things that take up majority of the space. The trees and enrichment items you get for free are a fraction of the hard drive space thats taken up...

majority of the update are animations and high res models locked behind a pay wall. They mask it with a few free items and bug fixes. and its probably a small file thats downloaded on purchase.

Have you ever bought an expansion not on the same date of the free update? You realize the install is nearly instantaneous. Youre only installing a key when you buy DLC not the actual paid content. That DLC packs your hard drive with everything while it waits for you to break and buy it :)

The update was only 2-3gb on my end, if that is seriously an issue for you i recommend an external hard drive.

I'm confused. I thought the DLC was only downloaded AFTER you bought it? I've never seen any of it anywhere BEFORE I bought it. Not unless some of the free updates have construction pieces that you need to buy the DLC to use them.

How sure are you that when they release new DLC the download is only the free content and changes? How much aware are you of paradoxs methods that you know for certain, with that free content and bug fix patch, that the remaining paid content isnt also preinstalled on your computer? All except a key file to download after you purchase the DLC to unlock?

I am talking about Planet Zoo right now. Yes, there are folders for future content, but they are empty. I mean future DLC. If you think that you got the newest DLC without paying then why are you complaining? You can confirm if this happened by looking at your library under Planet Zoo > Manage DLC.

Being able to preview DLC content is > the occasional 10 minute download. Quit being a boot licker. Start supporting consumers.
