Marine life!

We want marine life!!! Dolphins, whales, sharks, etc to make an entire aquarium. I've been waiting patiently for 2 years!

I play a lot of zoo tycoon 2 because of the marine mania dlc.


In the end this game is made by a company. And companys need money. A marine dlc would sell like crazy.

Nope. The company is doing great. They can afford to make that choice. They will not add an aquarium DLC. It's too late

i wish but they have flat out said no a long while ago. It is one of my fav part of any zoo.

i would love to have marine animals in game but given the dev's stance on them it may not happen.

yes Zoo tycoon did have a marine dlc but that was many years ago and before the controversy of having whales and dolphins and seals and walruses in marine parks and actually there is ppl that believe that all zoos and aquariums are cruel and should be closed. I am not one of those ppl but i can understand why they don't want to be associated with one side or the other and hurt their future for games to be bought! Choosing sides can make or break a company.

I understand why Frontier is not focusing on ocean mammals (esp. whales / dolphins) due to the fact that it is cruel in real life to keep them in tanks. (However I think that it's a game and where, when not in a virtual reality could it be done...) BUT a workaround could be to implement them via story line of a expedition / whale watching tour/ or scientific research. For fishes I see no reason why they shouldn't be implemented. At least as exhibition/Aquarium . To leave out Aquatic Animals and Birds completely would be really really sad and felt like an incomplete zoo experience...

yes, and the skins are really nice but they all use existing animal behavior animation an for this not really enjoyable to use....

i realize it is a game, but there has been recently company's that has been hurt by them taking a stand or choosing the opposite. eg bud light and i recently saw a nasty add because a pet food took a stand on a certain controversial matter . The comment said they would not longer buy it for standing up for what is right and i am sure there was more ppl like them. Frontier is not going to sacrifice one thing when it could make their other games that they have currently have out and any future games being sold when their are other game company's like origin waiting for them to make a stand for something and take their loyal gamers away. I would love to have sharks and rays and fish and manatees and walrus but in reality we are gonna face that is not in the cards.

This is a literal MUST have. WE have all been waiting so long for this and we don't have it. We are SO close as well with us already having penguins and seals etc.!!! Just one push further and we could finally have the marine life we all love and deserve.

No, a very large portion of the playerbase does not want marine animals added, for the same reason that frontier has said they won't add them. There is a big difference between keeping an animal like, say, a gazelle and keeping an animal like an orca or a dolphin. There is a reason most marine parks such as Seaworld has shut down. It's animal abuse, some animals aren't fit for captivity and implementing these animals in the game would indirectly advertise for these parks that most governments are banning and making illegal. Frontier has said that this is the reason they won't be adding any big aquatic animals such as sharks, orcas or dolphins. And if you read through the forums, this is how most players feel as well, so no, not everyone loves marine life in aquariums, as it's impossible to avoid hurting and mistreating these kinds of animals in captivity

Maybe Planet zoo should add a aquarium pack, where it will have exhibits that are aquarium and new aquatic biomes and also, there should be the Atlantis, Pirate, and Polynesian Theme. they should use sea turtles as habitat animals while the others are aquarium. There will be sizes for that

i think in reality of it if is ever made it would be made without dolphins and whales and no shows. it would focus on rehabilting them and releasing them but I think that would be a seperate game. not part of this one. It might have a rescue part to it where you have go to rescue them and make them well and then release and their would be a story to it. I think with ppl feeling so strong about dolphins and whales being captivity i am almost certain this will not happen sadly.

For those asking for sea creatures. Imagine the space needed for most sea only dwelling creatures. But it amazes me people keep requested sea mammals, and still asking for them when it's pointed out it's not just cruel to keep them, but in many countries it's illegal. Those who still keep them, they have been bred there years ago and cannot be released.
