Monkeys keep escaping walkthrough habitats

I am trying to build walkthrough habitats for Japanese Macaques and Capuchins, but I can't figure out how to keep them from jumping over the guest path's railings and running up the path towards the guest gate. I don't want to enclose the guests within glass barriers inside of the habitat, but the monkeys just keep jumping onto the guest paths and causing a ruckus. I think I've seen a few clips of walkthrough monkey habitats where they don't seem to be able to jump over and out, but I can't pinpoint what the builder did. Any tips?

They should not be able to leave via the guest gate. If it is climbable make sure to click on it and deactivate the climbable part. I never had any monkey escape when I used guest gates.

I think the problem is the paths, right? Try placing a non climbable wall along the paths, or something else the monkeys can't walk through. like maybe rocks?
