Shorten a barrier later

I wanted to shortern the barrier in the pics in length (not height). But when hitting the arrowhead symbol it wont shorten nor it helps at all. Is shortening the barrier later not possible btw?

Here is my best guess at what might have been in your image, to shorten the LENGTH of a barrier once placed click on the barrier POST not on the fence itself, there should be a move option at the bottom of the pop up menu and you can drag the post to change the barrier length, see screenshot

HOWEVER, if the barrier you want to shorten is at max length and attached to max length barriers on either side you wont be able to move it, in this case you have to shorten the adjacent barrier which you can do by another method, click on the BARRIER this time and you will see an option to + click on that see screenshot

You will then see the ghost of a post, place that anywhere along the length of a barrier to divide it at that point ie: splitting a 20 mtr barrier into 2 x 10 mtr or 5 x 15 mtr ect:

FYI the arrowhead symbol is just a way of quickly selecting multiple barrier sections but in itself has no other associated actions, barrier manipulation is done purely through selecting either a POST or a BARRIER piece. Hope this helps

Thx it worked which led me to my next questions reps. questions.
Why cant you see my screenshots? I can see them. Could it be a problem that i choose privace in my settimgs?
And can i raise the post alone in height without lifting the barrier itself?

Forget about raising post itself. I just found out. ;) It has been three months since i played PZ the last time.

If you look at my guide you will see one of the first instructions is to set visibility to PUBLIC if you want to share, also posting screenshots directly into a post is so much easier for people to use than having to be redirected to an outside link.
As for height you can click on the post and raise the height then click on the barrier and lower it but as I am not in game right now I suggest you check your settings for your barrier placement, there are options in there that allow you to change how these things interact.
