ESC button unresponsive after a while

Does anyone else have issues with the ESC button becoming unresponsive after a while?

After a random amount of time it stops working for me, both to exit parts of the build menu and to enter the regular menu, then after another random amount of time its functions seem to return.

I have the base game, arid DLC, and twilight DLC installed, no other mods or workshop items.

I always think it's me hitting the wrong button! LOL! Good to know I'm not THAT clumsy. ;)

Yes, it's happened to me a few times. If I exit to the main menu and reload my zoo, it then works again.

The ESC key refuses to work when the Objectives window is open in career mode. Took me a long time to figure out this. It is repeatable.

Do you have a similar situation where some dialog is open when thee ESC key stops working perhaps?

I have also had this issue, since I bought the game. I'd be interested to hear if there is something that can be done about it.
