Help! Steam deck control configuration??

Hey I’m not really that smart and I’m wanting to play Planet Zoo on the steam deck. The default controls are pretty crap so I’ve been trying to change them… the biggest trouble I’m having is trying to get the right joystick to rotate the camera. I have the R2 and L2 soft pull buttons zooming the camera in and out which I like. The camera movements are just the biggest pain for me… please help if you can!! If you can, tell me the perfect controller layout for the steam deck. That would help a ton, thanks!

Personally, I'd dock it and connect a keyboard/mouse. Otherwise, camera sounds like something begging to be bound to the trackpad. Just my two cents, though, and I have yet to actually test it.

I love my Steam Deck, but I hate playing UI intensive games with a controller for similar reasons. Even official port controls can be so janky.
