animals stuck in place

I was playing today and realized my African elephants weren't moving around, like they were stuck but the idle animations were playing no other animals had this problem. So i clicked on them and moved them to somewhere else in the habitat and they were still stuck. I then removed them from the habitat to the trade center back to the habitat and they were still stuck! This has never happened to me before and its only the adult elephants that aren't moving around. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try to save, log out and load the game again. Maybe that will help.

check the habitat heatmap, maybe an enrichment item broke the traverse area

Lazy elephants! Saw a mouse? Serious suggestion-How many elephants are there, and when you click on them, then the terrain tab, is the space for them in the green, or red? You might have had too many elephants for the space in the habitat.

Lack of space will not stop them moving, but if they become unhappy, protesters will come in.

I often have the same problem, but with new janitors. I drop them on a path and they stay on that spot. Restarting usually fixes them.

In the current version of the game, the first thing to do is verify game file integrity when issues show up.
Is this a very large zoo that is starting to tax your computer? This can cause such random animation anomalies.

Giraffes are getting stuck trying to interact with rolling scratching post. they'll start at initiation point, tiptoe around, walk back to initiation point, tiptoe forward a little, rinse repeat until it dies of old age. Strangely their needs don't seem to go down.. ?
