So this "Free Costume"...?
Whats the deal?
I've signed up a week ago, completed a few scenarios and have started to receive their spam news, but I can't see any additions to my avatars wardrobe and the main menu still shows the option for me to sign up.
Have I missed something, done something wrong, or do I keep waiting?
Any thoughts appreciated.

I have no idea! Not a big help I know, but I just used the default one, I think! It's not as if you see much of it.

Try clicking on your avatar stood on the world.

So you do not see any of them with a black (?) dot in the top right corner? I believe that the one you get is the one that is tan with brownish color around the tan areas.

P.S. You do know how to edit your avatar in game, correct?

I've played around with the avatar designer and I can see all of my plain tops & trousers, as well as the section with animal hats (none of them are a pangolin though), definitely nothing that stands out as a costume.

So, did you get yours straight after signing up, or did you have to do something else, like play a particular mode to receive it, or wait a week? Did you get any sort of notification/ Did the 'sign up for the newsletter' button disappear after getting the costume?

Thanks, but that seems to be describing an issue where the registration page won't load up for non-english users. I've already registered, and I am already receiving their emails.

What would be helpful would be if someone could tell me their experience of the process - ie. "I registered and the item appeared instantly in my inventory."
Or
"I registered and the item turned up after a week."
something like that, so I could know that something has definitely gone wrong.

When you tried to sign up, did you get any message like it was successful or error message?

There was an in game message to the effect of "thanks, we'll be in touch"
As I said, I received a newsletter already (a few days after registering), so my registration has been successful.

Can I please just ask (you, or anyone else who could please just take 3 seconds to share their experience) - did you get the item - seconds - or weeks - after registering?

If I can get some sort of confirmation that either something has gone wrong for me, or its just a matter of waiting for it to turn up, then I can decide what to next.

It has been a long time since I took that step but if memory serves me correctly, I received the item right afterwards. I don't believe that I ever saw the message to sign up again, though, so it sounds like something went wrong.
