Help with placing a window in habitat wall

Hi All, did the tutorial, but still do not know how to place a window into a habitat wall. All i see are icons (which i do not know what the icons mean), move my mouse, hit enter a few times, select again the window option in build screen and after 4 or 5 times the window appears, but i do not know how i did it.

Any help with the steps to put a window in a wall would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not all habitat barriers allow a window. For those that do, such as the brick, there is a Window section with three icons. Mouse over them and they will say what they are. "X" is no window, the rectangle is clear glass, and the third icon is for one way glass.
The easiest way is to make your habitat then click on barrier, edit and select the barrier walls where you want windows and click the icon for the type of window.

Okay than for time and information. I will try your process you indicated in the last sentence.

Right now, just started a zoo on flat grassland land and going slow, and have only made two wooden wall habitats. Just feeling the game out which is fun.
