Inaccessable food tray and others
I placed a water bowl, food tray and it says innacessable... Knowing that it is placed in an open area where animals and staff easily can walk.
Any idea what I can do?

1.Check heat map.
2.Delete, then replace.
3.Cry. I seem to say that a lot, don't I?
4.Move items.
5.Pause/unpause.
Hope ONE of those works!

I found that my enrichment items weren't working unless the animal had a traversable path to the habitat gate, even though it had access to the items themselves, which for a tortoise did not take much of a slope to cause trouble. Might be worth checking.

I already tried those things more then once..

They also have to be accessible by the keepers. As to the tortoises, they same able to scale up almost cliffs! I am sure real ones can't.

Sometimes we can reset things inside a habitat by moving a barrier post slightly, wait a few seconds and then press ctrl+z to undo that move. I have noticed lately that false alerts seem to show up at random times. Had a similar issue with a restaurant that kept giving a warning about being inaccessible just yesterday.

The restaurants are strange. When first placed it warns they are not accessible, for no apparent reason. I Move them slightly and use Redo to put it back. Then you have to wait for the vendor to return via a ticket gate! There is sometimes also the warning on restarting a game save. Totally random, and only with one restaurant no matter how many you have. I usually ignore that warning because it's obviously in use, and the warning eventually goes.

I play in the Sandbox so have access to unlimited cash and everything available in the game (no need to research) But I have noticed that the keepers do not fill every food thing. Often they even ignore the 'advanced' feeders and use the basic ones only. Or ignore the basic ones and only fill the advanced ones. I have never yet seen a keeper fill every feeder in a habitat, even if they are all accessible. (You can click on them to see if they are.) So, really, if paid for, some are a total waste of money, and Research if you need to do that.

The animals start at the keeper gate because that's how they are brought in to the habitat. So that part is 'accessible' if nowhere else is! But it's not that the animal needs access to that gate, as such, it's that the keeper also has to be able to traverse the area where the food items are in order to fill them., not just the animals. It may not be that the animals cannot get to them, the keeper may not be able to. Although keepers can walk up and down surprisingly steep slopes! But not all animals can. The big cats can jump up to quite high places to reach feeders, but that does not mean the keeper is able to get to it to fill it. (I would like to see one swim down to the fish dispensing machine! But in the case of those things, it's depth that counts.)
Inaccessible can mean a few things.

What I don't understand is why do keepers seem to pick and choose which feeders they fill? When a lot of animals are in a habitat, parents and perpetual offspring, a few feeders are needed or they get hungry, but the keepers do not fill them all, even if they are accessible. I thought at first they would start to ignore the basic feeders when more advanced ones were placed in, at one time they did, but oh no, not now, they randomly fill what ever they want! Often leaving many of them empty. I am wondering if there is also a lot of muck to clean up the time in a habitat is split between the two tasks.
